What makes adopting from Cat Care and Rescue truly special? We operate without a physical shelter, relying on a dedicated network of foster homes. This means our pets thrive in a home environment, receiving individualized love, care, and socialization before they even meet you. We believe this foster-based model ensures a smoother transition for our pet friends into their forever homes, giving you a better understanding of their true personalities. Our mission is to find loving homes for healthy or rehabilitatable pets, prevent cruelty, educate our community, and inspire a world of compassion and respect.
Your path to adoption
To ensure the best possible match for both our pets and your family, we have a thoughtful adoption policy. Prospective adopters must be employed or have a verifiable source of income and be over 24 years old (parental co-adopters allowed). We require a size-appropriate hard carrier for transport, a state or government-issued ID, and for renters, a lease with a pet policy. To help us understand the loving home you'll provide, pictures of your living space or a home check will be requested.
